🏥 FH Piped Nitrous Oxide Decommissioning

WA Health awarded Centigrade Medical Gases a $25,836 direct-sourced contract to decommission Fremantle Hospital's piped nitrous oxide system.

Decommissioning of piped medical gas system – Nitrous Oxide at Fremantle Hospital. This includes: Carry out site investigation to confirm terminal outlets, pressure switches and location of pipeline components. Supply and install a “purpose manufactured plug” into each nitrous oxide terminal outlet with a tag stating the system is “Decommissioned”. Decommission the nitrous oxide medical gas alarm pressure switches and reprogram the medical gas alarm panels. Depressurise the nitrous oxide medial gas system from the manifold and ensure the gas is safely vented away from patient areas. Decommission the nitrous oxide gas supply. Decommission the nitrous oxide gas pipeline components. Test the medical gas pipeline system (MGPS) alarm panels for all gases including the activation of all pressure switches where the decommissioning works have been completed to ensure remaining gas alarms are not affected.

The South Metropolitan Health Service directly sourced a $25,836 fixed-price contract from Centigrade Medical Gases Pty Ltd.
