State Planning Policy 2.4 ensures basic raw materials (BRM) and extractive industries matters are considered during planning and development decision-making, to facilitate the responsible extraction and use of the State’s BRM resources. It applies to planning instruments, including region and local planning schemes; planning strategies, structure plans; subdivision and development proposals in Western Australia.
