Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, owners/occupiers of land within the Town of Victoria Park are required to clear inflammable matter on or before October 31, 2019, or within 14 days of becoming the owner/occupier, and thereafter up to April 30, 2020. Requirements include removing inflammable matter from land 2000 m2 or less, and clearing firebreaks on other land. Penalty for non-compliance is a fine of not more than $5,000.00.
