A fisheries adjustment scheme is established, called the West Coast Estuarine Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2018. The objective is to reduce the size of the Fishery, to enable resource reallocation to the recreational sector, by reducing the number of persons and boats authorised to fish in the Fishery. The scheme commences operation on the date it is published in the Gazette and ceases operation on 30 June 2019.
