Declares the amount of salary or wages that would have been paid during paid parental leave as a contribution item for unpaid parental leave periods.

For the purposes of item 14 of the table to regulation 12d of the state superannuation regulations 2001, i declare the following amount to be an item in respect of which a contribution is required—an amount in respect of a period of unpaid parental leave calculated as the amount of salary or wages that a worker who has taken a period of unpaid parental leave would have been paid had the worker taken paid parental leave for that period.
