This is a state planning policy prepared under part 3 of the Planning and Development Act 2005. The purpose of this policy is to seek to prevent conflict and encroachment between industrial and sensitive land uses. It ensures planning decisions consider the locational constraints of land uses, the significant investments represented, and the current and future benefits and costs to communities when assessing proposals where land use conflict may exist or result.
