The Western Australian Planning Commission prepared and adopted the State Planning Strategy 2050 (2014) pursuant to Section 14(b)(i) of the Planning and Development Act (2005). This SPP restates and expands upon the key principles of the State Planning Strategy in planning for sustainable land use and development. It brings together existing State and regional policies, strategies, and guidelines within a central State Planning Framework.
