The scheme will operate across the whole of Western Australia, and the rate at which contributions are to be paid under regulation 14 for the period beginning on 1 July 2023 and ending on 30 June 2024 is $0.17 per head or per carcass comprised in a chargeable sale. Contributions are likely to be applied to fund payments relating to virulent footrot (88%) and wild or feral dogs (12%).
