Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, owners/occupiers of land within the City of Perth are required to remove inflammable matter from their land by 31st October 2022, or within 14 days of becoming the owner/occupier after 31st October 2022, and thereafter up to and including 30th April 2023. Requirements vary based on land size. Failure to comply may result in a fine not exceeding $5,000 and liability for the cost of performing the work.

Exempts City of Perth from insuring under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, except for industrial diseases under section 151(a)(iii).
