These regulations are the mandatory testing (infectious diseases) regulations 2020. These regulations come into operation as follows — regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the gazette; the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day. Covid-19 is prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (d) of the definition of infectious disease in section 4 of the act.
