The Council of the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley resolved on 31 January 2017 to make the Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2017 under the powers conferred by the Bush Fires Act 1954 and the Local Government Act 1995. This local law comes into operation 14 days after the date of its publication in the Government Gazette and applies throughout the district.
