City of Canning Local Planning Scheme No. 42. This scheme applies to the whole of the district of the City of Canning. The purposes of this scheme are to set out the local government‟s planning aims and intentions for the Scheme area; set aside land as local reserves for public purposes; zone land within the Scheme area; control and guide development; set out procedures for the assessment and determination of development applications; set out procedures for contributions to be made for the costs of providing infrastructure; make provision for the administration and enforcement of this Scheme; and address other matters referred to in Schedule 7 of the Act.
