The notice classifies waters within the Lalang-garram / Horizontal Falls Marine Park as general use, sanctuary, and special purpose areas under section 62(1a) of the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984. It declares commercial gillnet fishing and prawn trawl fishing, as well as exploratory drilling for petroleum and geothermal energy, incompatible with conservation purposes in specified special purpose areas.
