Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, owners/occupiers of land within the City of Vincent are required to clear inflammable matter on or before October 31, 2017, and thereafter up to and including April 30, 2018, according to specified requirements. Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to $5,000.00. Burning of garden refuse and lighting of fires in the open air is prohibited between October 31, 2017 and April 30, 2018.
