The council of the City of Perth resolved on 25 February 2025 to make the following local law under the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 and the Local Government Act 1995. This local law is the City of Perth Waste Local Law 2025 and commences 14 days after publication in the Government Gazette. It applies throughout the district.

Requires landowners/occupiers to remove inflammable matter from their land by October 31, 2020, and maintain it until April 30, 2021.
Appoints Konrad Seidl as Chief Bush Fire Control Officer and Vivian Browne as Deputy Chief Bush Fire Control Officer for the City of Perth, along with other Bush Fire Control Officers.
Approves City of Perth local planning scheme amendment related to plot ratio and land use in Claisebrook Inlet and East Perth.
Exempts City of Perth from insuring under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, except for industrial diseases under section 151(a)(iii).
