It is hereby notified for public information that, as of 20 november 2025, the following persons are appointed as shire of bruce rock bush fire control officers under the bush fires act 1954, part iv, division 1, section 38(1). bush fire control officers—anthony crooks—chief bush fire control officer; and trent cosgrove—deputy chief bush fire control officer. these officers are authorised to impose a ban on harvesting and movement of machinery in paddocks, and to issue infringements. their appointments are for the period of october 2025 to october 2027. fire weather officers—mark furr—chief executive officer, shire of bruce rock; melissa schilling—deputy chief executive officer; mike darby—executive manager corporate services; and greg stephens—executive manager technical services. all previous appointments are cancelled.
