First and final notice served to all landowner/occupiers within the Shire of Esperance to prepare their properties to reduce fire risk. Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, owners and occupiers must clear firebreaks or take measures before 9 October 2023 and maintain them until 31 March 2024. Request for variation can be submitted before 24 September. Total Fire Ban conditions apply, with penalties for non-compliance.
