Acting pursuant to the powers conferred by regulation 38B of the Rottnest Island Authority Regulations 1988, the Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) hereby closes the following waters to all vessels and watercraft, excluding bona fide emergency services and authorised event vessels and watercraft. Thomson Bay between 6:00am and 2.00pm on Saturday 7 December 2024. This area is closed to all vessels except bona fide emergency services and authorised event vessels and watercraft to conduct the 2024 Rottnest Swim Thru. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and maintain a safe clearance when transiting this area.
