The Shire of Dardanup requires landowners and occupiers to carry out fire prevention work on their land in accordance with the Bush Fires Act 1954. This order is valid from 1 July to 30 June annually. Work must be completed by 30 November annually and maintained until the close of the entire Restricted and Prohibited Burning Periods. Non-compliance may result in infringement notices, penalties, or the Shire carrying out the work at the owner's cost.
