This notice amends the Quarantine Area Notice (QAN) relating to the declared pest Bactrocera (Bactrocera) tryoni (Queensland fruit fly or Qfly), which was published in the Gazette on 17 April 2026. Clause 1 of the QAN is amended by extending the quarantine period from 11:59pm on 26 September 2026 to 11:59pm on 31 March 2027. The amended QAN is available on DPIRD’s website.
