The chief psychiatrist approves the mental health service specified in schedule 1 to perform electroconvulsive therapy (ect). The mental health service specified in schedule 1 to the order are approved as a mental health service at which electroconvulsive therapy can be performed on the following conditions— (a) that, following written notice by the chief psychiatrist, the chief psychiatrist may visit the mental health service to review the standards of treatment and care that has been or is being provided by the mental health service to any person referred to in section 515(1).
