The shire of Denmark gives notice to all owners and/or occupiers of land within the shire. Pursuant to section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, fire prevention work is required by 1 December 2024, and must be maintained up to and including 30 April 2025. Failure to comply may result in a penalty of up to $5000. An authorised officer is legally able to enter property without warning to conduct compliance inspections.
