The council of the City of Joondalup resolved on 21 August 2018 to make the following local law. The purpose of this local law is to remove certain provisions within the City of Joondalup Waste Local Law 2017. The effect of this local law is to better clarify the provisions relating to the enforcement of the City of Joondalup Waste Local Law 2017. Clause 4.3 and 4.4 are deleted. Item 30 in Schedule 2 is deleted.

Requires all land owners and occupiers within the City of Joondalup to remove inflammable material and clear firebreaks by October 31st annually to control bushfires.
Prohibits the burning of garden refuse or rubbish within the City of Joondalup at all times during the year.
Appoints Bush Fire Control Officers for the City of Joondalup under the Bush Fires Act 1954.
Approves amendment to City of Joondalup Local Planning Scheme No. 3 regarding short-term rental accommodation.
