The legal costs committee has complied with the notice provisions of section 139 of the act. Before making the legal profession (non-contentious probate) determination 2025, the committee reviewed submissions of the law society of western australia inc. received as a result of the notice given under section 139 of the act and met with a representative of the law society’s costs committee; met with registrars of the supreme court of western australia; held a seminar with members of the law society of western australia inc; considered the responses to a survey of the legal profession in western australia; and considered the impact of changes in relevant australian bureau of statistics data for the period.
