The Legal Costs Committee has made the Legal Profession (Magistrates Court) (Civil) Determination (No. 2) 2020 under the Legal Profession Act 2008. This review arises from changes to civil procedure brought about by the Magistrates Court (Civil Proceedings) Amendment Rules 2020 and the Magistrates Court (Civil Proceedings) Amendment Rules (No. 2) 2020. Maximum hourly and daily rates remain unchanged, but the scale of costs has been amended.
