Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 owners or occupiers of land situated within the City of Cockburn are required by law to comply with the prescribed fire control order here within. The order details requirements for flammable materials, prohibited/restricted/unrestricted burning times, firebreak times, firebreak specifications, additional works, and hazard reduction burning. Failing to comply will result in a penalty of up to $5,000.
