This is a requirement under the Bush Fires Act 1954 Section 33. Failure to comply with this Notice may incur penalties of up to $5,000 and the works required by this Notice will be carried out at the expense of the owner/occupier. Fire management requirements for land less than 4000sqm and greater than 4000sqm are detailed. All vacant land greater than 4000sqm must have a 3 metre wide trafficable firebreak as close as possible to all external boundaries of the property.
