To assist in the control of bushfires, all owners and/or occupiers of land within the City of Joondalup’s district are required before the 31st day of October in each year to remove flammable material and/or clear firebreaks. Failure to comply can result in fines up to $250 and in the case of major offences may result in Court action with fines up to $5,000.
