A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established under section 10B of the Act, to be called the Abalone Managed Fishery (Area 7) Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2020. The objective of the scheme is to enable the surrender of authorisations, or parts of entitlements, by eligible persons for the purpose of sustainability given the loss of abalone habitat associated with the development.
