Under the Electoral Act 1907 section 65 i give notice that on thursday 8 june 2023 the governor issued a writ under sections 67(3) and 69 of that act directing me to proceed with an election in the rockingham electoral district to elect one member of the legislative assembly for that district. For the purposes of that election— (a) the electoral rolls close at 6 pm on friday 16 june 2023; (b) nominations of candidates must be received before 12 noon on 23 june 2023; (c) polling day will occur between 8am and 6pm on saturday 29 july 2023; (d) the last day for the return of the writ is wednesday 6 september 2023.
