The council of the Town of Claremont resolved on 27 June 2023 to make the following local law under the Dog Act 1976, the Cat Act 2011, the Local Government Act 1995. This local law may be cited as the Town of Claremont Animal Local Law 2023 and comes into operation 14 days after the date of its publication in the Government Gazette. The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of the keeping of dogs and cats within the district.
