The fes commissioner is the prescribed hazard management agency (hma) for emergency management for the hazard of cyclone. I, craig waters, deputy commissioner operations of the department of fire and emergency services, as a delegate acting for the hma, hereby declare an emergency situation in respect of the severe tropical cyclone hayley (incident 766641). The area of the state to which the emergency situation declaration applies is— shire of broome, and the shire of derby/west kimberley.
