The council of the City of Bayswater resolved on 23 August 2022 to make the Keeping and Control of Cats Local Law 2022. This local law repeals the City of Bayswater Keeping and Control of Cats Local Law 2016. It comes into operation 14 days after publication in the Government Gazette and applies throughout the district.

Requires landowners and occupiers in the City of Bayswater to comply with firebreak conditions by November 1, 2020, or within 14 days of becoming an owner/occupier until March 31, 2021, and prohibits burning off.
