The council of the Shire of Corrigin resolved on 21 May 2024 to make the following local law under the powers conferred by the Bush Fires Act 1954 and the Local Government Act 1995. This local law may be cited as the Shire of Corrigin Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2024 and comes into operation 14 days after the date of its publication in the Government Gazette. The local law applies throughout the district.

Authorises general retail shops in the Shire of Corrigin to open at specified times during the Christmas period, excluding Christmas Day.
