The fes commissioner is the prescribed hazard management agency (hma) for emergency management for the hazard of cyclone. I, craig waters, deputy commissioner operations of the department of fire and emergency services, as a delegate acting for the hma do hereby declare an emergency situation in respect of the severe tropical cyclone ilsa (incident 613189). The area of the state to which the emergency situation declaration applies is— shire of broome, shire of east pilbara, and the town of port hedland.
