⚡ Traction and Non-Traction High Voltage (HV) Power Maintenance
Summary
PTA awards $2.97M contract to High Energy Service for maintenance of high-voltage traction and non-traction power systems, aiming for proactive, optimised maint
Tender description
The Public Transport Authority’s (PTA’s) traction power system consists of ten (10) sub/feeder stations, twelve (12) traction section cabins (TSC), one (1) Perth switching station and nine (9) non traction High Voltage (HV) sites /networks. All the equipment in the sub/feeder stations, TSC’s and non-traction HV sites should be maintained based on the manufacturer recommendations or as otherwise determined by PTA’s asset management plans. PTA has a requirement for a specialist contractor to maintain the sub/feeder stations, traction section cabins (including Perth switching station) and all non-traction HV equipment. It is PTA’s intention to have a proactive optimised maintenance approach whereby reactive maintenance and repairs are minimised by strategic maintenance of all electrical infrastructure and equipment. Further, all deviations to agreed asset management criteria and requirements are to be supported by data and engineering analysis (led by the nominated contractor in conjunction with PTA’s engineering and maintenance teams). As PTA’s network is rapidly expanding, there is an expectation for some additional planned and corrective maintenance requirements during the course of the proposed contract. This may include the repair or replacement of some of the parts.
