Tender description
In January 2023, ex-Tropical Cyclone Ellie caused destructive and widespread flood damage in the Kimberley region of Western Australia (WA), and which severely impacted residents and their communities. Under WA’s Emergency Management (EM) Arrangements, the Department of Communities (Communities) via the Emergency Relief and Support (ERS) directorate is responsible for the coordination and provision of emergency relief and support services during the Response and Recovery phases, following a natural disaster. Communities is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Community Social Recovery Programs, as part of the Kimberley Flood Recovery, which includes personal support services. The Community Resilience Project aims to deliver personal support services to address recovery needs of flood impacted persons within Fitzroy Crossing and surrounding communities. Communities is seeking a suitably experienced and Contractor to provide services for the Community Resilience Project 2025-26 and to support individuals and family, as part of the ‘Return to Home Journey’ in flood impacted communities.
