Under section 8.19(1) of the Act, the Minister suspends the council of the City of Perth. Under sections 8.30, 2.39 and 2.40 of the Act, the Governor appoints Eric William Thomas Lumsden, Gaye Marie McMath, and Andrew Charles Hammond as commissioners of the City of Perth. Eric William Thomas Lumsden is appointed chairperson and Gaye Marie McMath is appointed deputy chairperson.
