To prevent bush fires and to minimise the spread of a bush fire, all owners and occupiers of land within the district of the City of Gosnells are required to comply with the requirements of this annual fire hazard reduction notice. All owners and occupiers are required to clear and maintain their land free of all flammable matter to a height no greater than 10cm, at all times throughout the year, unless Clause 1 applies. Failing to comply with the requirements of this notice is an offence under the Bush Fires Act 1954, which carries a penalty of up to $5,000.
