Under the powers conferred by the Local Government Act 1995, and all other powers enabling it, the council of the Shire of Ashburton resolved on 9 May 2023 to make the following local law. This local law is cited as the Shire of Ashburton Extractive Industries Repeal Local Law 2023. This local law comes into operation 14 days after its publication in the Government Gazette. The Shire of Ashburton Extractive Industries Local Law 2013 published in the Government Gazette on 8 March 2013 is repealed.
