The council of the City of Cockburn resolved on 8 July 2025 to make the following local law, cited as the City of Cockburn Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2025, which applies to the whole of the district. The purpose is to provide for the regulation, control and management of bush fire brigades within the district. The Bush Fire Brigade Local Law 2000 is repealed.
