The council of the City of Joondalup resolved on 15 February 2022 to make the following local law. This local law may be cited as the City of Joondalup Fencing Amendment Local Law 2021 and commences 14 days after publication in the Government Gazette. The purpose is to amend the City of Joondalup Fencing Local Law 2014 to better clarify the sufficient fence provisions and other requirements.

Requires all land owners and occupiers within the City of Joondalup to remove inflammable material and clear firebreaks by October 31st annually to control bushfires.
Prohibits the burning of garden refuse or rubbish within the City of Joondalup at all times during the year.
Appoints Bush Fire Control Officers for the City of Joondalup under the Bush Fires Act 1954.
Approves amendment to City of Joondalup Local Planning Scheme No. 3 regarding short-term rental accommodation.
