Under the powers conferred by the Dog Act 1976 and the Local Government Act 1995, the Council of the Town of Bassendean resolved on 25 June 2019 to make the following local law. This local law may be cited as the Town of Bassendean Dogs Local Law 2019. This local law will come into operation on the fourteenth day after the day on which it is published in the Government Gazette.

Enacts the Town of Bassendean Animals, Environment, Nuisance and Pests Local Law 2019, which regulates animal keeping, land care, nuisances, and pest control within the district.
Establishes rules for conducting meetings of the council, committees, and electors in the Town of Bassendean.
Approves the Town of Bassendean Local Planning Scheme amendment.
