Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, property owners and occupiers are required to remove flammable material and/or clear firebreaks by 1 November, and maintain them until 5 May. Details vary based on land size. Applications for alternative firebreaks or actions can be made to the City of Bunbury before 1 November. Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to $5,000. Previous notices are revoked.
