It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the Shire of Plantagenet Local Planning Scheme amendment on 22 August 2018 for the purpose of— 1. Rezoning Lot 51 Porongurup Road, Mount Barker from ‘Special Site’ (R12) to ‘Rural Residential’ and amending the Scheme Maps accordingly; 2. Delete Special Site R12 from Schedule 3; 3. Inserting a new item 13 within Schedule 5 in accordance with the following—

Authorizes Mount Barker IGA Supermarket to open during otherwise closed hours during the Christmas period.
Appoints fire control officers for various locations within the Shire of Plantagenet.
Authorises general retail shops in Mount Barker town site to open at times they would otherwise be closed until November 1, 2020.
Adopts the Cemeteries Local Law 2020 for the Shire of Plantagenet.
