The area of Claremont, Nedlands and Dalkeith is declared to constitute a quarantine area for a period of 6 months following the date of publication due to the presence of Queensland fruit fly. Owners/occupiers must remove and dispose of ripening/fallen fruit every three days. Non-commercially produced fruit cannot be moved from the area unless cooked, frozen or solarised. Failure to comply could result in a fine or remedial action.
