Pursuant to section 9(1) of the Racing and Wagering Western Australia Act 2003, the selection panel established under section 11 shall consider the following criteria when selecting persons as directors under section 8(1)(e)—governance, financial, or leadership. Pursuant to section 9(1) of the Racing and Wagering Western Australia Act 2003, the eligible bodies referred to in section 12 shall consider the following criteria when nominating a director under section 8(1)(b), (c) and (d)—high-level experience in a racing industry code, preferably in Western Australia.
