Fire Break Notice — Shire of Boyup Brook
Requires landowners in the Shire to conduct fire prevention work by November 30 and maintain it until April 1.

Under section 33 of the Bush Fires Act, you are required to carry out the fire prevention work specified below on any land within the Shire that is owned or occupied by you. The work must be carried out by 30 November, unless approved otherwise, and maintained throughout the summer months until 1 April. If an owner or occupier fails to comply with these requirements, he or she may be issued with an infringement notice (penalty $250) or prosecuted, and the Shire may carry out the required work at the cost of the owner or occupier.
