Regulations 404 and 406 Declaration — Pedal Electric Tricycle
Exempts pedal electric tricycles ridden by Cycling Without Age Australia licensees from certain road traffic regulations.

I, Hon. Rita Saffioti, Minister for Transport, acting pursuant to regulation 457 of the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014, hereby declare that regulations 404 and 406 do not apply to a pedal electric tricycle that does not exceed 1060 mm in overall width and is ridden by a person who has a licence agreement with Cycling Without Age Australia. It is a condition that any equipment or load on the tricycle does not exceed 1060 mm in overall width. This declaration takes effect upon it being published in the Government Gazette and has effect for five years from then.
