The council of the City of Stirling resolved on 24 February 2026 to make the Shopping Trolleys Local Law 2026. This local law regulates the removal of shopping trolleys from shopping precincts, requires retailers to ensure prompt collection and return, provides the local government with powers to impound shopping trolleys, and creates offences and penalties for breaches.
